KEIR is about mixing experiences and influences from sportswear and high fashion, creating a space in between street wear and couture. To take contrasts between these two worlds and mix them in terms of shape, styling, fit, and the use of high quality basic fabrics such as cotton and viscose jersey, sweatshirt fleece, leather, wool and denim. The KEIR collection is designed for active, modern, independent women. Styles for work and play, for heels and trainers, dress up and dress down. Age is not an issue it is all about attitude. The KEIR collection is a range of sexy, simple, raw, cool items created in basic materials with attention to funky details and sophisticated tailored fit. KEIR jeans are specially tailored to fit women’s bodies and we have a mission to create the perfect fit for every booty. KEIR is the designers' Scottish family name which can be traced back to 1263. The Taurus head was introduced for autumn / winter 2004 and symbolizes the designers Zodiac sign. Founder and designer Sara Keir Wright graduated with a BA in Fashion Design from Middlesex University in 1998. After gaining experience with Pearce Fionda, London, Saga Furs of Scandinavia, Converse and American sportswear label, Everlast, Sara launched KEIR for Spring Summer 2004 with the mission of combining these very different worlds of fashion to create a unique new look.
